Thorax, abdomen and microscopy room (“The microscopy room”, B2.1012)

This room is especially relevant for skills related to the gastrointestinal system and microscopy. The microscope has space for eight people to view simultaneously. This service is relevant for all semesters in which histology or pathology is taught.

Rectal ekploration

  • Rectal exploration:
    You will be taught this on the propaedeutics course in the 4th semester.
  • Self-training:
    The mannequins in the Skills Centre have exchangeable prostates with different pathologies.

Examination under microscope

  • Teaching:
    Some histology/histopathology is taught throughout the study programme, and is introduced in the 2nd semester.
  • Self-training:
    Our microscope with eight ocular lenses is well suited for study groups.

 

Anatomy of the thorax/abdomen

  • Teaching:
    Anatomy of the thorax is taught primarily in the 3rd semester, while the abdomen is taught mainly in the 4th semester.
  • Self-training:
    We have models that are clearly presented and that function as a supplement to dissection and the atlas.
