Important information
Many of the new CLP pictograms are similar to the existing system. But today's black symbols on an orange background are replaced and redesigned, given shape and colour in black, white and red.
What's new?
- The Hazard Pictograms - replace the old hazard symbols
- The Hazard and Precautionary Statements (H/P) - replace the old risk and safety phrases (R/S)
- Danger and Warning (fare og advarsel) - are new signal words

Two of the new pictograms are shown below. These two are important pictograms concerning Health Hazard:
GHS08 Chronic Health Hazard
Meaning: Warning or danger.
Can imply:
- CMR: carcinogenic, mutagenic, toxic to reproduction.
- STOT: specific target organ toxicity
GHS07 Exclamation mark
Meaning: Warning or danger
