Case 12-24O NCMM external funding 2023
As part of the financial reporting for 2023, the Board asked for an overview of
NCMMs portfolio of external funding. This is enclosed. The Director will give an
update in the meeting.

Case 13-24D Strategy discussion on continuation of NCMM beyond 2024 - update
UiO has appointed a working group, with the task to provide a proposal for structure
and scientific profile of NCMM beyond 2024, when the funding from The Research
Council of Norway (RCN) ends. The working group is asked to make a proposal so
that UiO can decide on the future of the Centre in spring 2024. The Director will give
an update in the meeting.

Case 14-24O NCMM in the Life Science building
NCMM has been designated to move to the Life Science building. The estimated
moving date is spring/ summer of 2026. NCMM has participated in several working
groups during the project phase, and is still contributing time and staff to many groups
in the current implementation phase. Some purchasing of high-end scientific
instrumentation has also begun. There are some challenges with the evolving project,
and the Director will give a briefing in the meeting.

Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway – NCMM
Case 15-24O Joint postdoc call - update
NCMM has established a joint Postdoctoral Program in Molecular Life Science, aimed
at fostering new collaborations between NCMM group leaders and partners from the
Oslo arena. 7 projects were funded in 2023, and some have already started. To further
deepen and develop ties with the environments going into the Life Science building,
NCMM is considering a new joint postdoc call in 2024. The Director will give a status
update in the meeting.
