The first day of the programme, which is open to all invitees, will include a session on 'big data', with talks by researchers that include Francesca Buffa, Principal Investigator, Department of Oncology, University of Oxford, and Elana Fertig, Associate Professor of Oncology and Assistant Director of the Research Program in Quantitative Sciences at Johns Hopkins University. The session will examine why big data is so important for scientific research, with insight into the possibilities and potential issues that can arise.
Day one will also see NCMM's newly appointed Director, group leaders, and associate and young associate investigators present their research. Speaker Bård Brænde, will also give a talk on how to drive creativity, motivation, and collaboration in the workplace. There will also be time allocated for networking and discussion during the programme.
Day two, which will be a closed meeting for NCMM group leaders, associate and young associate investigators, will feature a half-day workshop that will focus on improving communication and negotiation skills in the workplace. All PIs in the network are invited to the workshop and we encourage NCMM group leaders and young associate investigators in particular to attend.
After lunch, there will also be a tour of NCMM for those who would like to learn more about our labs and facilities.

Registration information
The meeting is invitation-only and is intended for all NCMM Associate and Young Associate Investigators, and our wider research network of Board members and scientific stakeholders.
The NCMM meeting will start with registration at 11:00 am from Tuesday 26 February 2019, with the meeting formally finishing with lunch at 12:30 pm on Wednesday 27 February, followed by the tour of NCMM for those interested.
