Professor John Scott

Professor John Scott is an Edwin G. Krebs-Hilma Speights Endowed Professor in Cell Signaling and Cancer Biology at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, USA.

Professor Scott directs a research lab that investigates intracellular communication networks promoting specificity in signal transduction events. His main interests are in the specificity of signal transduction events that are controlled by anchoring proteins, which facilitate rapid signal transduction by optimally positioning protein kinases and phosphatases in the vicinity of their activating signals and close to their substrates.

The lecture will take place at the Norwegian PhD School of Pharmacy, but all are welcome to attend.
