Seminar title: Genome and transcriptome heterogeneity in multifocal primary prostate cancer and clinical/translational implications
Abstract: The majority of prostate cancer patients have multiple primary tumour foci upon diagnosis. The research group has recent results demonstrating that most of these are unrelated regarding somatic mutations, and also quite divergent on the transcriptome level. Despite the extensive intra-patient heterogeneity, the presentation will include some strategies for how genomics testing on tissue biopsies can be relevant also for prostate cancer.
