New NCMM Associate Investigators and Young Associate Investigators - 2015

The NCMM Board appoints 5 new Associate Investigators and 7 new Young Associate Investigators.

Following an open call announced in the spring and with deadline in September, applications for the status as NCMM Associate Investigators and Young Associate Investigators affiliated with NCMM and the Nordic EMBL Partnership in Molecular Medicine have been evaluated by a Selection Committee taking into account scientific excellence, translational merit, compatibility with the NCMM mission and added value for NCMM.  The committee found that the call was highly competitive with excellent applications.

The NCMM Board proudly announces the appointment of 5 new NCMM Associate Investigators and 7 new NCMM Young Associate Investigators.

NCMM has had 12 Associate Investigators in the first 5-year period. Based on applications, 7 Associate Investigators have now been re-appointed. In addition, one NCMM group leader was appointed Associate Investigator in 2014 when he rotated out of the Centre. Furthermore, two investigators at the University of Tromsø were appointed NCMM Young Associate Investigators in 2014 in a joint recruitment process between UiT/ University Hospital of North Norway and NCMM. The reappointed and newly appointed NCMM Associate Investigators and Young Associate Investigators are:

Altogether, the NCMM AI and YAI network consists of 22 excellent investigators.  NCMM anticipates a fourth call for Associate Investigators / Young Associate Investigators within the next 18 months.
