NCMM has today, 2 December 2020, appointed 26 new Associate Investigators to its network of expert scientists. These new appointments mean that the Centre continues to grow its network of collaborators, thereby expanding its expertise and strengthening its connections with some of Norway’s leading universities and hospitals.
Call opened in June 2020 for new NCMM Associate Investigators
Following an open call announced in June 2020, applications for the status of NCMM Associate Investigator affiliated with NCMM and the Nordic EMBL Partnership in Molecular Medicine were evaluated by a Selection Committee. Applicants were recognized for their scientific excellence, translational merit, novel capabilities and the added value that they would bring to NCMM. Clinicians were especially encouraged to apply. The Committee also emphasized the potential for collaboration with NCMM's current research groups. The Committee found that the call was highly competitive with excellent applications.
Renewal of the NCMM network helps to maintain relevant and complementary research
NCMM’s Associate Investigator network comprised of 34 scientists throughout its second five-year period. Based on applications for renewal, 21 Associate Investigators were re-appointed in the spring of 2020. Including the Associate Investigators appointed in fall 2020, the network now consists of 47 scientists from all over Norway.
