Marie Rogne was a postdoc in the Kjetil Taskén group 2009 – 2014, and then continued in the Judith Staerk group until 2018. In 2022, after 20 years in the academia, she started her own company Pioneer Research.
NCMM Alumni Profiles
Dr Ettore Tiraboschi is currently a senior researcher at the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences, The University of Trento, Italy. He was a postdoc in the Esguerra group at NCMM from 2015 until 2018.
Dr Kinga Gaweł is currently an Associate Professor at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Esguerra group from 2018 to 2020.
Dr Sigrid Skånland is currently a Project Group Leader, Lab Leader and Researcher at the Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital. She was a postdoc in the Taskén group from 2011 until 2014.
In 2016 Dr Aziz Khan joined the Mathelier group to continue his research in regulatory genomics and epigenomics. He is now a staff scientist at the Curtis Lab at the Stanford Cancer Institute.
Dr Andrea Cremaschi is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (SICS), A* STAR, Singapore. He was a postdoc in the Taskén group at NCMM and the Institute of Cancer Research from 2016 until July 2019.
Dr Alfonso Urbanucci joined the Mills group as a postdoc in 2011. Since leaving NCMM he has started his own group at Oslo University Hospital (OUH).
Dr. Harri Itkonen joined NCMM as a PhD student in the Mills Group in 2010. He now has his own group at the University of Helsinki. Here, Harri details his career to date and how his NCMM experiences have helped shape his career.

Professor Kjetil Taskén was the Director of NCMM from its inauguration in 2008 until 2018 when he accepted a new role as Head of the Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital (OUH).
Ian Mills was one of the first group leaders recruited to NCMM. He joined the Centre as head of the Prostate Cancer Research Group in 2010. Ian rotated out of NCMM in 2016 after accepting a permanent position at Queens University, Belfast.
Professor J Preben Morth was one of the first group leaders recruited to NCMM. He joined the Centre from Aarhus University, Denmark, in October 2010.
