Workshop in SCID-1 and PANSS

30 clinicians participated in a one-week workshop of the Structured Clinical Interview Axis 1 Diagnosis (SCID-I) DSM-IV and Positive And Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS).

The workshop was organized by NORMENT - K. G. Jebsen.

During the course, reliability assessments were conducted, as well as general training in diagnostic assessment and symptom levels using the SCID-I and the PANSS, respectively.
The course holder, Dr. Joseph Ventura, PhD, is a visiting researcher from the UCLA Department of Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences were he is responsible for training and quality assurance of diagnostic and symptom level assessments in severe mental disorders. This is his third course in Oslo.

The course was intended for Phd students and clinicians at the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority.
 

An open seminar of the DSM-V was arranged by NORMENT - K. G. Jebsen on the 4th of March. The focus of the seminar was diagnostic assessment of psychotic illnesses and changes in the new version of the DSM (DSM-V). The course holder was Dr. Joseph Ventura, UCLA.
