I am a researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare Education (SHE) working on several research and educational projects linked to the Sustainable HEalth Corpus (SHE).

I am a linguist and discourse analyst with a background in translation studies. I am currently interested in how language shapes our knowledge of the world and how it can both restrict, challenge, and expand the work of the imagination as a collective social process. I am also interested in how research methdologies shape our understanding of what counts as knowledge. 

After graduating from from the Universidad de la República (UdelaR, Uruguay) with a degree in Legal Translation, I did an MPhil at UMIST (now University of Manchester), and a PhD at Dublin City University, Ireland. Before joining the University of Oslo, I worked as a Lecturer in Translation and Language Engineering at Imperial College London and as a Lecturer in Translation Studies at the University of Birmingham, UK.
