Academic interests

I am interested in how abstract and theoretical concepts in Global Health and Health Professionals' education can be transformed or changed into a concrete and realistic discussion, implemented in the real world for the desired change and remain persistent and adaptive.

Specifically, through Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and Action Research (AR). In my previous projects, for example using AR through experimental design, I have studied how post-surgical pain management can be improved in low-resource settings.

Now, drawing on literature on CBPR and qualitative system dynamic modeling, I examine how CBPR has been conceptualized and implanted in the past, and how it can be used for sustainable health professional education and research.
