Background
I am a medical doctor from the University of Oslo, where I also attended the Medical Student Research Programme. After finishing my studies, I did my medical internship at Oslo University Hospital, Ullevål, and Husebyskogen primary care centre at Hovseter in Oslo. I started my PhD studies in epidemiology and gastroenterology parallel to my internship, and have worked full-time with research after finish my internship. During my PhD years I have had the opportunity to be a visiting researcher at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Frontier Science Foundation in Boston, where I experienced a different academic life as compared to Oslo.
